El Camino extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 13-6 in the process. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens a 10-0 shutout. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Kailey Dain, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Boone, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
El Camino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon Crest Academy only posted a batting average of .158.
As for Canyon Crest Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9-1. The shutout was out of character for they seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.
On Canyon Crest Academy's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Kearse, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.1, the Mustangs 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
