The Daphne Trojans will square off against the Baldwin County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Daphne 1.8, Baldwin County 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Tuesday, Daphne was able to grind out a solid victory over Robertsdale, taking the game 10-5. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won three in a row.
Victoria Moten made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abby J Johnson, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-5. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Cammerlyn Herport was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
Daphne lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Robertsdale didn't launched any home runs.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Baldwin County's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gulf Shores on Tuesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Baldwin County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryann Wallace, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Daphne's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Baldwin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-12.
Both Daphne and Baldwin County just can't seem to miss. The Trojans have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Baldwin County struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.3 hits.
