The Coalgate Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 38-20 to Tushka. Coalgate has not had much luck with Tushka recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Tushka's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tagen Simon, who scored eight points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Simon hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Tristan Gibson, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Coalgate's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Tushka, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-12.
Coalgate will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Calera at 8:00 p.m. As for Tushka, they will head out on the road to square off against Caddo at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Caddo is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
