Addi Baumgartner was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Audrey Borup, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elle Dill, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Eastlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Washington only posted an OBP of .318.
Meanwhile, Redmond got the win against Lake Washington on Monday by a conclusive 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Regan Hendrickson was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. She also put up a run, which was her first of the season. Maggie Enich was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and three doubles.
Redmond's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Eastlake, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Eastlake hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Redmond struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.2 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Eastlake couldn't quite finish off Redmond in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 5-3. Will Eastlake have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
