She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, UME Preparatory Academy got a massive performance out of Madison Holland, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. That's the most runs Holland has posted since back in February. Georgia Thomas was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and two runs.
The win got UME Preparatory Academy back to even at 7-7-2. As for Newman International Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
