Erwin is 0-10 against T.C. Roberson since January of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Erwin Warriors will square off against the T.C. Roberson Rams at 8:00 p.m. One thing working in Erwin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
Last Tuesday, Erwin came up short against A.C. Reynolds and fell 71-63. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Rockets are ranked 141st).

Despite the loss, Erwin got top-tier performance from Carson Wallace, who went 10 of 18 on his way to 30 points and eight rebounds. The matchup was Wallace's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jackson Davis was another key player, putting up ten points.
Meanwhile, T.C. Roberson strolled past Asheville with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 87-68. The Rams pushed the score to 65-39 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.
Erwin better keep an eye on Dean Lowe. He was instrumental in T.C. Roberson's win, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 13 boards. That's the most points Lowe has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Specht-Mitchell, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
T.C. Roberson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.
T.C. Roberson's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Erwin, they now also have a losing record at 10-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Erwin has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.7 boards per game. However, it's not like T.C. Roberson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Erwin was taken down by T.C. Roberson 90-63 when the teams last played back in January. Can Erwin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
