The Hardee Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 44-29 fall against Lake Placid. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hardee in their matchups with Lake Placid: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Hardee saw an underclassman step up: Tylia Graham scored 12 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Danaelle Pierre, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Antranique Felton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lake Placid, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 21 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Felton has scored at least a third of Lake Placid's points. Another player making a difference was Ke'Nise Madison, who scored nine points.
Hardee bumped their record down to 3-12 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.2 points per game. As for Lake Placid, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.
Hardee will face off against Manatee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Placid, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Frostproof at 7:00 p.m.
