The McNair Eagles suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 70-47 walloping at the hands of Bear Creek. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat McNair has suffered against Bear Creek since January 24, 2020.
McNair's loss came despite strong showings from Yuvraj Sahota and DaWaine Watson. Sahota scored ten points along with four steals, while Watson scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Watson posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Vasquez, who scored four points.
McNair has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Bear Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McNair will take on Linden at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bear Creek, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Chavez at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Hopefully Chavez focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
