While Botkins might've come up empty on Monday, Carson Steinke wasn't going down without a fight. Steinke was dynamite, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Botkins is 2-1 when Steinke allows one or fewer earned runs, but 3-7 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Steinke and Botkins will take on Spencerville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sadly, Steinke's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Trojans' four-game streak of wins at home.
