MIDLOTHIAN, Va. - the Lancers scored 27 points in the second quarter to secure a big 45-14 victory over Midlothian (Va.) on Saturday.
Manchester scored on a touchdown run by
Simon Lakee, a
Rose Daniel touchdown run, a touchdown run by
McCoy Raquan and a Daniel touchdown pass to
Duhart Jonathan in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a Daniel touchdown pass to
Tennyson Donovan in the first quarter, the Lancers were up 33-0 at the half.
Manchester grew its lead to 39 points entering the fourth quarter. The Lancers scored once in the quarter on a Lakee touchdown run.
Daniel was the top performer for Manchester. He threw two touchdowns. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
The Lancers came into the game allowing 9.8 points per game. The 14 points that the Trojans ended with were above their average of 7.8 coming into the game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 56-43 win for Manchester.
The win brought Manchester's winning streak to four games.
Manchester (5-1) will play a non-conference game against Cosby next week, while Midlothian (0-6) will take on Bird also in a non-conference game.
