Basketball Recap: Brandon Donaldson Key Part of a Team Effort in Lancers Win

Linganore won the last time they faced North Hagerstown and things went their way on Friday too. The Linganore Lancers walked away with a 55-42 victory over the North Hagerstown Hubs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linganore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Donaldson, who posted 13 points along with eight boards and three steals. Brandon Rosario also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Linganore was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Hagerstown only racked up six assists.

North Hagerstown's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Somerville, who had ten points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. Somerville is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season. Brayden Cespedes was another key player, putting up six points along with seven boards and three steals.

Linganore pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for North Hagerstown, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 7-2.

Linganore has already played their next match, a 57-47 victory against Urbana on the 14th. As for North Hagerstown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-50 win against Walkersville on the 13th.
