U-32 had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their game against Mt. Abraham on Saturday 28-14. That result is just more of the same for U-32, who also won the last time these teams played.
U-32's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 20 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Mt. Abraham couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 20-0 heading into the break. U-32 were outperformed in the second half 8-14 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the contest.
Senior Martin McMahon, who rushed for 128 yards and 1 touchdown, was a major factor in the success. Senior Logan Wedge was in the mix, too, providing U-32 with 2 touchdowns. This was the first game for both teams, giving U-32 a 1-0 record and starting Mt. Abraham off at 0-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. U-32 will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Burr & Burton at 7:00 PM. Mt. Abraham are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Mount Anthony next week at 7:00 PM.
