The San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines lost against the Lick-Wilmerding Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. San Francisco Waldorf received a tough blow as they fell 61-43 to Lick-Wilmerding. While losing is never fun, San Francisco Waldorf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 529th, while Lick-Wilmerding is ranked 252nd).
Despite the loss, San Francisco Waldorf still got an impressive performance from Miles MacDonald, who scored 22 points. MacDonald scored a full 51.2% of San Francisco Waldorf's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sam Kite, who scored six points.
This is the second loss in a row for San Francisco Waldorf and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Lick-Wilmerding, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
San Francisco Waldorf will take on San Domenico in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Lick-Wilmerding, they will head out on the road to face off against International at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
