Video: Trashaun Willis makes high school football debutDual-threat field general showing major promise despite having only one arm.Trashaun Willis of
Washington (Iowa) is different from just about every other high school athlete in America — he was born with only one arm.
The 14-year-old went viral earlier this year after dunking multiple times during games as an eighth-grader at Washington Middle School.
Now the the 6-foot-4, 185-pound freshman is earning attention in another sport.
Willis made his high school debut on the
freshman squad last week, improbably starting at quarterback and making a major impact. He recorded touchdown runs of 15 and 22 yards and completed several passes. He also started at linebacker.
The inspirational teenager hopes to play basketball and football in college. As seen in the video above, that goal doesn't seem to be all that far-fetched as Willis is a special athlete despite the challenge of competing with one arm.
He's already gained a bit of a following through his basketball dunk videos and his work on the football should only increase his fan base.
"I had a lot of fun through it and met a lot of new people," Willis said. "I talked to so many people from different states. Younger kids sometimes come up to me in the town and ask to take pictures with me."

Willis lines up in shotgun during his high school debut last Friday.
