Paxton is 10-0 against Bethlehem since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Paxton Bobcats' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Bethlehem Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. Bethlehem took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Paxton, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Paxton strolled past Laurel Hill with points to spare, taking the game 57-39. Given Paxton's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Laurel Hill is ranked 319th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Lexie Nagy, who scored ten points. Alyssa Falk was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Bethlehem came up short against Holmes County on Monday and fell 49-42.
Paxton pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Bethlehem, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Everything went Paxton's way against Bethlehem in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as Paxton made off with a 48-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paxton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
