On Wednesday, the West Haven Blue Devils faced the Fairfield Prep Jesuits in a battle between two of the state's top teams. West Haven took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fairfield Prep. West Haven has struggled against Fairfield Prep recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Nick Conlan threw for 135 yards and a touchdown. Armani Reid was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Camren Kemp rushed for 71 yards.

West Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Fairfield Prep, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
West Haven will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against New Britain at 6:00 p.m. New Britain knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully West Haven likes a good challenge. As for Fairfield Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Staples at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Staples will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
