The South Gray Rebels fell victim to the Wichita County Indians''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 64-0 loss at the hands of the Indians. South Gray's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it six in a row.
Wyatt Gardner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wichita County, throwing for 147 yards and four touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Colton Harbin also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.
South Gray's loss was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.4 points per game. As for Wichita County, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
South Gray does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wichita County is also done with their season.
