The Wahoo Warriors lost against the Beatrice Orangemen back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Wahoo took a 47-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orangemen. Wahoo has not had much luck with the Orangemen recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Wahoo lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sidney Smart. Despite the final result, she scored 22 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gretchen Seagren, who scored three points along with four blocks and two steals.
Wahoo has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Beatrice, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wahoo will take on the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Platteview is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Beatrice, they will be playing at home against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
