Adams Central proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the South Adams Starfires. The victory continues a trend for the Jets in their matchups with the Starfires: they've now won nine in a row.

Max Byerly was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Hayden Bluhm, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Adams Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Adams Central's record now sits at 5-11-1. As for South Adams, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Adams Central will head out on the road to face off against Woodlan at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The last seven games the Warriors have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for South Adams, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitko at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
