Smith Center can attribute much of their success to Reed Doane, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. Those seven boards gave Doane a new career-high. Quintin Lehmann also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Smith Center's record now sits at 9-10. As for Northern Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Looking ahead, Smith Center will host Norton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northern Valley, they will welcome Golden Plains at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Thalheim and Dylan Wark.
