The Hilton Head Island Seahawks will head out on the road to square off against the Berkeley Stags at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hilton Head Island is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Hilton Head Island is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since March 15, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Hilton Head Christian Academy by a score of 8-6.

Hilton Head Island saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dashel DesNoyers, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run was DesNoyers' first of the season. Another was Jack Boatwright, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berkeley). They blew past Colleton County 13-1 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Stags have posted against the Cougars since March 24, 2015.

Hilton Head Island's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Berkeley, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Hilton Head Island couldn't quite finish off Berkeley when the teams last played back in March of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can Hilton Head Island avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
