Last Thursday, Middle College narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Animo South Los Angeles 2-1. That's two games straight that Middle College has won by exactly one goal.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Diangelo Urtiz and
Fabio Macias, who scored both of Middle College's goals. The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 26 goals the game before, Community Charter were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 3-1 to Triumph Charter.
Middle College's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matchups. As for Community Charter, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2-3.
