II Section IV recap October 22, 2013
AUSTIN STEFICK of Lake Havasu ran for the longest rushing play in II Section IV this season against Cibola last week. STEFICK's team lost to the Raiders as he sprinted for 77 yards on the play and finished with 100 in all.
San Luis fell to Kofa 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Abraham Thompson was the best running back in the league this week. In 38 carries, he ran for 204 yards as Cibola lost to Cibola. Lucky Arvizo also contributed to the rushing game with 51 yards on the ground.
Lucky Arvizo's team's Arvizo and Michael DeCorse-Hall led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Arvizo has thrown for 1,594 yards this season, while DeCorse-Hall has 26 catches for 592 yards. Karl Thompson's team's STEFICK leads the league in rushing yards with 810.
An important game coming up in II Section IV this week will be when Gila Ridge takes on the Raiders. As it stands, the Hawks are in third, while Cibola is in second.
