The Edinburg Bobcats will face off against the Harlingen Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edinburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 828th, while Harlingen is ranked 411th).
Edinburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a rough 37-13 loss at the hands of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo. Edinburg was down 31-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Although Edinburg took the loss, they still got scores from Jude Vega and Bryan Galindo.
Meanwhile, Harlingen's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past Los Fresnos with a 21-17 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Harlingen.
Edinburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Harlingen, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 7-3 record.
