Basketball Recap: Starkville Academy Skates Past Jumpertown with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Starkville Academy). They breezed past the Jumpertown Cardinals to the tune of 67-37 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Volunteers.

Jumpertown lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Trevor De'Armon, who shot 43% from the field en route to 19 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 51.4% of Jumpertown's points, marking the third time in a row De'Armon has posted more than a third of the team's points. Hunter Lewellen was another key player, putting up ten points.

The victory got Starkville Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Jumpertown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Starkville Academy will be playing at home against Columbus Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jumpertown, they will head out to take on Biggersville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cardinals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
