The Marinette Marines will head out on the road to take on the Wrightstown Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marinette is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Marinette is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since April 16th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Xavier.

Chase MacGregor was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Marinette's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Hanson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Marinette hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Wrightstown hadn't done well against Denmark recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Tigers blew past the Vikings 11-1. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Jacob Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Miller was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Rogan Thompson was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Jackson Leitzke also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Marinette's record now sits at 7-4. As for Wrightstown, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Wrightstown's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Marinette has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Wrightstown, though, as they've been averaging only 2.8 strikeouts. Will Marinette keep running through batters, or will the Tigers buck the trend?
Marinette came out on top in a nail-biter against Wrightstown in their previous matchup back in June of 2025, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Marines repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
