Choctaw County can attribute much of their success to Kamya Straight, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, and India Graham, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Straight scored 15 or more points. Alyssa Thomas was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Millry, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were beaten by Fruitdale 136-10 on Tuesday. Millry has struggled against Fruitdale recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Choctaw County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-9 record this season. As for Millry, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
