The Olympian Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Bishop's Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Olympian 3.5, Bishop's 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Olympian took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Hoover 13-6. Considering the Eagles have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Luke Hill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two).

In other batting news, Daniel Rodriguez was a standout: he scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaac Mendoza, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Bishop's posted their closest victory since April 16, 2024 on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past San Dieguito Academy 2-1.
San Dieguito Academy's batters probably weren't too happy with Henry Armstrong, who pitched a no hitter (he gave up a single walk). Armstrong has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kyle Rippel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Olympian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-1 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.7 runs. Bishop's win bumped their record up to 5-3-1.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Olympian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. However, it's not like Bishop's struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Olympian took their victory against Bishop's in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0. Will Olympian repeat their success, or does Bishop's has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
