Thompson Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mountain View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Mountain Lions at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Thompson Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Timnath 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cubs: they've now won three in a row.
Thompson Valley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Timnath between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-14.

Thompson Valley can attribute much of their success to Payton Reichelderfer, who had ten digs and two assists, and Alayah Foster-Lindsay, who had six digs. That's the most digs Foster-Lindsay has posted since September 2nd.
Severance came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Mountain View, but Jazelle Stough wouldn't allow it. The Mountain Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Silver Knights on Tuesday for which the team can thank Stough, who had 19 digs. Reichelderfer is also on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Mountain View never let Severance on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 27-25.
Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Thompson Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Thompson Valley has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Mountain View struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
