Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brookside). They really took it to the Clearview Clippers for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-26 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Brookside's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Markie Aliff, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Bailey Brennen was another key player, going 5 for 12 on her way to 12 points and four steals.

Brookside was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Brookside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Clearview, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Brookside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-47 loss against Columbia on the 11th. As for Clearview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-30 defeat against Steele on the 9th.
