Sam Rayburn has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 39-31 victory over Van Vleck on Friday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Sam Rayburn has scored all year.
Dayton has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Needville on Monday.
Sam Rayburn's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Dayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
Sam Rayburn came up short against Dayton when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 52-39. Can Sam Rayburn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
