Bowie put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They never let the Southwest Raiders get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Volunteers have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaxon Turner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Christian Uribe, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Bowie hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

Bowie is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Southwest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bowie will welcome Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Volunteers are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Southwest, they will host Cistercian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
