Rancho Verde is a perfect 3-0 against Perris since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 3:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rancho Verde has eight straight victories, Perris has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Rancho Verde made easy work of Moreno Valley and carried off an 11-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Isabelle Sena spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaylen Anderson was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Khylee Dade, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Perris lost 18-2 to Citrus Hill on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 16 runs.
Kimberly Santoyo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Rancho Verde's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Perris, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rancho Verde has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .470. However, it's not like Perris struggles in that department as they've averaged .501. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Rancho Verde's way against Perris when the teams last played on April 10th, as Rancho Verde made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
