The St. Michael's Crusaders put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 57-53 W over Westlake. Given St. Michael's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Westlake is ranked 55th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Michael's found their leader in underclassman Bo Ogden, who scored 27 points. The matchup was Ogden's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sugeeth Jinkal, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
St. Michael's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Westlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
St. Michael's will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Harker Heights at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for Westlake, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lake Travis at 7:30 p.m. Lake Travis will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
