The Nazareth Area Blue Eagles will head out on the road to  square off against  the Pleasant Valley Bears  at 11:00  a.m.  on Thursday. Nazareth Area will be strutting in after a  win while Pleasant Valley will be coming in after a  defeat.
Nazareth Area barely beat Liberty the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Eagles never let the Hurricanes get on the board and left with  a   7-0  victory  on Wednesday. Considering the Blue Eagles have won five contests by more than six  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.

 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Matt Daems, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Bennett Sanford, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Pleasant Valley's offense. They came up short against  East Stroudsburg South on Tuesday, falling  10-0. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Pleasant Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kole Henry, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  double.
 Nazareth Area's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Pleasant Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
 Everything went Nazareth Area's way against Pleasant Valley in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024, as Nazareth Area made off with  a  13-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Eagles since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
