Savil Hughes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylynn Salazar Bell, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Hillcrest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Hillcrest's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Cottonwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
Hillcrest's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Cottonwood has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.7 strikeouts per game.
