The Lake View Wild Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carvers Bay. Lake View has struggled against Carvers Bay recently, as their match on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carvers Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenneth Bateman, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. Bateman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jaylon Gause was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Lake View's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Carvers Bay, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Lake View will head out on the road to face off against South Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carvers Bay, they will be playing at home against Goose Creek at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
