Halifax Academy posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Kerr-Vance Academy 38-8 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Halifax Academy has posted against Kerr-Vance Academy since January 6, 2015.
It was another big night for Carolina Corum, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Karson Ricks was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Faith Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The game between Faith Christian and Fayetteville Academy wasn't particularly close, with Faith Christian falling 51-37.
Halifax Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Faith Christian, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
Halifax Academy strolled past Faith Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 44-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Halifax Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
