The South Central Timberwolves had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat St. John 62-8 on the road. The result was nothing new for South Central, who have now won five matchups by 30 points or more so far this season.
South Central was led to victory by Isaiah Jellison and JT Prusa. Jellison rushed for 79 yards and three touchdowns, while Prusa rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Prusa is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Jamie Sarminento also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
South Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for St. John, their defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-5.
South Central will take on Bucklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. John, they will head out on the road to face off against Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Minneola presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. John in Kansas (Minneola is ranked tenth, while St. John is ranked 85th).
