The Milwaukee Juneau Pioneers will head out on the road to take on the Milwaukee Reagan Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Washington scored an imposing 59 points on Wednesday, Milwaukee Juneau still came out on top. Milwaukee Juneau took their contest against the Purgolders 68-59. That's two games straight that Milwaukee Juneau has won by exactly nine points.
Dooney Johnson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Milwaukee Juneau's points. Another player making a difference was Joesph Sims, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee Reagan scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Saturday. They strolled past Whitewater with points to spare, taking the game 75-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Milwaukee Juneau pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.7 points per game. As for Milwaukee Reagan, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Milwaukee Juneau strolled past the Huskies in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 86-67. The rematch might be a little tougher for Milwaukee Juneau since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
