Despite the defeat, Floodwood saw an underclassman step up: Jonah Spindler scored 23 points. The contest was Spindler's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Deacon Laine, who scored seven points.
Immanuel Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Floodwood, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
