The Tri County Trojans stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. Everything went their way against Fairbury as Tri County made off with a 41-16 win. Winning may never get old, but Tri County sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Tri County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caden Bales out in front who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Drew Siems was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Fairbury struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Tri County racked up 13 assists.
Tri County's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Fairbury, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri County will take on Freeman at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fairbury will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sutton at 7:45 p.m. on January 18th.
