The biggest upset of the week belonged to Monroe Township, who took down 103rd ranked Monroe Township, 14-9. Chiebuka Chukwuneke ran for 153 yards and caught one passes for 17 yards in the win.
Sayreville extended the longest winning streak in Greater Middlesex - Red this week by beating South Brunswick, 28-14. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Bombers.
Edison's dynamic duo of Dan Lordi and Aqeel Daniels proved tough for East Brunswick to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lordi threw for 108 yards and two touchdowns and Daniels had 73 yards receiving. Nick Wales helped Edison's passing attack out by catching two balls for 24 yards.
The Vikings' T.J. Perkowski and TJ Taylor have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Perkowski has thrown for 851 yards this season, while Taylor, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 18 catches for 402 yards. J.P. Stevens's Chukwuneke leads the league in rushing yards with 811.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Sayreville takes on second place South Brunswick. Sayreville topped South Brunswick last week, while South Brunswick lost to Sayreville.
The Hawks moved up to 198 from 232 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Greater Middlesex - Red. J.P. Stevens climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Falcons 14-9.
