Osborne is 1-0 against Fairfield since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Osborne Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Fairfield Falcons at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Osborne has four straight wins, Fairfield has 16 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Osborne got themselves on the board against Pike Valley, but Pike Valley never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers, posting a 68-0 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Osborne, who have now won five matches by 48 points or more so far this season.
Dawson Lantz continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 141 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Lantz is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Osborne also got a significant boost from Dalton Garman, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.
Meanwhile, Fairfield suffered a tough 46-22 loss at the hands of Norwich on Friday.
Despite the defeat, Fairfield got a solid performance out of Rex Zongker, who rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns.
Osborne's victory bumped their season record to 6-1 while Fairfield's loss dropped theirs to 0-7.
Everything came up roses for Osborne against Fairfield in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 72-6 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Fairfield's Ashtin Cochran, who picked up 215 receiving yards and a touchdown.
