Lorelei Monk posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, she turned in her biggest game of the season, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Monk and Taft will challenge Lincoln Park at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are a perfect 9-0 against the Lions going back to May of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
