1A-2 Region I District 1 recap September 10, 2013
Terry Gilbreath of Wellington ran for the longest rushing play in 1A-2 Region I District 1 this season against Panhandle last week. Gilbreath scampered for 76 yards on the play and finished with 276 on the day as his team topped the Panthers.
Hunter Lile and Kaiden Vasquez provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Claude. The connection went for 88 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Booker's dynamic duo of Lile and Jared Reagan proved tough for the Mustangs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lile threw for 379 yards and 3 touchdowns and Reagan had 162 yards receiving.

Gilbreath was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Klark Ashmore added to the ground attack by rushing for 82 yards.
Lile put up the best numbers through the air as Booker defeated the Mustangs.

Reagan was the best receiver in 1A-2 Region I District 1 this week as James Henton's team beat Claude.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Kiowas' Lile and Reagan have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-9 quarterback Lile has thrown for 633 yards this season, while Reagan has 21 catches for 309 yards. Gilbreath from Wade Williams' team leads the league in rushing with 416 yards.
Shamrock was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. The Irish beat West Texas 21-14 earlier in the week.
