It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Falkner Eagles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-55 victory over Thrasher. The win was just what Falkner needed coming off of a 69-41 loss in their prior contest.
Falkner got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Mauney out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mauney has scored at least a third of Falkner's points. Chris Nunley was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with four steals.
Falkner's win bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Thrasher, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-14.
Falkner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thrasher also has no future games currently scheduled.
