The Willis Wildkats will be playing at home against the Oak Ridge War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Willis will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Willis pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Woodlands.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jermaine Bishop jr, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Chandler Beasley, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Oak Ridge came up short against the Panthers on Saturday and fell 58-47. Oak Ridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Willis' loss dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Oak Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-20 record this season.
Willis strolled past the War Eagles in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 72-55. Will Willis repeat their success, or do the War Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
