The Grafton Gators will face off against the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Grafton 2.7, Wachusett Regional 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Wachusett Regional will be up against a hot Grafton squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Gators came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Blackstone Valley RVT. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gators have posted since March 31st.

Chris Kiesiner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Grafton's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Haylan Oberg, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Meanwhile, Wachusett Regional had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Westborough by a score of 7-2 on Monday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 17, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Wachusett Regional also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Brady Hughes gave up just two earned runs on seven hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caden Lane, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Brendan Mariani was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Grafton pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Wachusett Regional, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Grafton suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Wachusett Regional in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Gators have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
