The PAL Academy Bulls will head out on the road to square off against the Silver Valley Trojans at 4:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: PAL Academy has struggled recently with 16 defeats in a row, while Silver Valley will arrive with 16 straight wins.
Last Wednesday, PAL Academy came up short against Glenn and fell 39-31.
Meanwhile, Silver Valley can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 95-33 win over Academy of Careers & Exploration at home. Silver Valley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Jasean Phillips continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Javion Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
PAL Academy bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.7 points per game. As for Silver Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
PAL Academy was taken down by Silver Valley 57-21 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point PAL Academy was down 57-10.
